Over four weeks, you’ll dive deep into the tech ecosystem, exploring industry trends, career pathways, and the disruptive technologies redefining how we work and live. Through interactive workshops, expert-led discussions, and real-world applications, you’ll understand essential tools like design thinking, UX design, coding, and content creation.

Leo Crane is a producer, founder and educator with 25 years’ experience in creative industries and emerging technologies. He is co-founder of AIFA Ventures, establishing the AI FilmAcademy, the AIFA Awards and institutional partnerships for the positive adoption of AI. He is Director of the London-based studio Figuration, where he merges traditional artistic disciplines with emerging technology, from the first live opera on the blockchain to animated films and installations. He teaches at Sotheby's Institute of Art and V&A Academy, and serves on the board of Animate Projects. He holds MA (Distinction) in Computer Animation from Bournemouth and MA (Hons) in Classics from Oxford University.
Week 1 lays the groundwork for understanding the evolution, impact, and ethical considerations of technology. Students will explore key technological milestones, from the Industrial Revolution to AI, gaining insight into how innovation drives societal change. Sessions cover problem-solving through innovation, the rise of big data and AI, and critical discussions on tech ethics, privacy, and bias. Additionally, students will be introduced to Design Thinking and the Lean Canvas framework, equipping them with essential tools for developing impactful tech solutions.

Week 2 dives into the cutting-edge technologies shaping the future. Students will explore AI and machine learning, uncovering their transformative impact across industries. Week 4 is all about bringing ideas to life. Students will gain a deep understanding of the startup ecosystem, learning how to navigate funding, growth, and the challenges of building a scalable business. The week culminates in pitch preparation, where students refine their presentations, receive expert feedback, and build confidence in communicating their ideas. By the end, they’ll be ready to pitch their innovations to investors, industry leaders, and potential collaborators.
